Söll's Tour of the Senses
The Söll Tour of the Senses extends out for 22 km and is divided into four different, and quiet remarkable sections: the Sunny Side Path whose theme is fresh "tidbits", the Energy Path including the Sun Path, the invigorating Activity Path, and the slower-paced Shady Side Path. The benefits of outdoor exercise amid pristine nature also play a major role in hiking, running and Nordic Walking in and around Söll. One special highlight is the Kaiser Marathon. The course taken by the Tour de Tirol, which is permanently signposted, is a source of enthusiasm for countless running fans year in and year out.
Nightlife and Après Ski in Söll in Tyrol
Nigh-owls definitely find just what they are looking for, not just in the après-ski bars and pubs, but also out on the floodlit sled run (3.5 km) and on the longest night slope for skiers in all of Austria. The floodlit hill is open to skiers and snowboarders on four days out of the week. The gondola and chair lifts make getting back up the mountain a true joy in its own right. Sledding nights in Söll often last until 3 in the morning. Which means, you also have plenty of time to get the most out of the culinary and partying opportunities, too.
"Witches' Water" Nature Experience
At wet & wonderful "Witches' Water" in Hochsöll, more than 60 different attractions ensure that boredom is never a factor. Find the invigorating refreshment your tired legs crave in the Kneipp pool, and give the reflexology zones of your feet a reenergizing massage out on Austria's longest "Barefoot Path". Yet another highlight is the unique panoramic scenery from atop the Hohe Salve, out across 70 peaks towering above the 3,000-meter mark.
Trudging on snowshoes through the romantic alpine world of the Wilder Kaiser
Explore and discover the snow-covered winter countryside of Söll with snowshoes strapped to your feet. Trudging out across the snow and savoring the fresh mountain air, a memorable nature experience for absolutely everyone. Guided snowshoe expeditions and winter hikes are offered from Monday through Friday at 11 a.m. (min. participation: 3 people).
Folk Traditions and a Proud Heritage
As part of "Z’sammkemma im Dorf", Söll's restaurateurs and innkeepers provide a pleasant setting in which to enjoy folk music, along with living traditions, folk heritage and mouthwatering culinary specialties. Weekly church and outdoor concerts put a lilt in the heart of every music-lover, cheering up body and mind alike. Also especially close to the hearts of the locals is our traditional Almabtrieb, a celebration to mark the return of cattle from summer grazing and a highlight of the annual Hill Festival Week in September.
Husky Day in Söll
A whole different aspect of outdoor excitement awaits visitors beginning at the end of December. Twice a week, Söll feels like you have come to far northern Alaska. There's nothing the organizers of Husky Days in Söll love more than those crisp, cold days of winter. Meet the team of huskies, and get a sense of what life is like as a musher. All day long, crisscross the snow-covered forests on a husky-drawn sled you are driving yourself, and, when you're done, warm yourself up next to a hot open fire.
